My autographs are stored inside of photo albums made by the Alvin Company. I own a 8.5x11 album, a 4x6 album & a 5x7 album. The album has binders inside of it & you insert the picture from the top. Each album can hold 48 pictures & they cost only around $5.00 each from Amazon.com & if you want to check them out, I'll list the pages at Amazon.com for them.

No, that's "How to Preserve Your Autographs"

Isn't there already a sticky about this? Anyways...

I agree with cernan and dgangel, a binder is probably the best place to store your autographs, in acid-free sheets. I keep mine in a large photo binder, big enough to store 8x10's in it. I haven't framed any of my autographs, but I do frame the collages I make, since they have no autograph on them. Just to play it safe, I wouldn't frame anything that is either worth alot or very special to you. {up}

I keep mine in acid free sheets inside of a scrapbook. If you frame your autographs, make sure you put the autograph in an acid free insert, because the autograph could stick to the glass and get ruined. Like cernan said, sunlight can also ruin your autograph.

If you keep them in the pockets of a binder or folder, soon there are going to be too many autographs to fit. I dont think thats a good idea. Just buy a cheap binder, and go to just about any store and buy some binder inserts. Or you can purchase a scrapbook from a craft store and put all of your autographs in there, they already come with inserts. And you can always add more later.

I store all of my autographs in a binder. I place them each in special archival quality sheet protectors and then place them in the binder. I keep my binder standing up on a shelf so that the autographs are not all "falling on top of each other". But I suppose that you could frame them but in doing so you risk having them fade due to sunlight over time. Even if you use special glass, it only delays not prevents the fading of autographs, so I strongly reccommend that you keep them in binders.

Places to Store Autographs

Hi, I think this question has been asked a lot, so I'm going to make a topic about it.

In The Pockets of a Binder
It's kind of safe, though your autographs might get ruined because they're rubbing against each other and they might get bent if something is behind it. If you're going to store your autographs in a binder, put the binder in a very safe place.

Framed
Framed is very safe, nothing can ruin it and you can look at it constantly. Though, eventually you would run out of room on your wall since you'll have so many autographs! :lol: If you're going to store your autographs framed, make sure that it's mounted on the wall safely so that it won't fall.

Stacked One Above Another
I don't think it's that safe, many things could happen to it. Like I said in "In The Pockets of a Binder", the ink could rub against and that could ruin your pictures. Also, your autographs would probably stick together and then when you'd pulled them apart, that would rip the paper on the autograph below and your autographs would be ruined.

Just Lying Around
If you leave your autographs lying around, that's VERY unsafe. You could lose them, they could get wet, countless bad things could happen to them! I hope that everyone knows that.... :lol:

Hope that helped everyone! :wink:

Many Thanks
Olivia
