Hi dgangel :D

In the past (many, many years ago), sometimes stamps were counterfeited - more for political and other similar reasons rather than beating the post office system. It is very rare, almost unheard of today to counterfeit stamps.

Stamp auctions on eBay are most likely the genuine product. However, the final price of these auctions may be close to the true worth of the stamps as people will bid on them trying to score a bargain.

Postage stamps on eBay?

Hey,

I found a few auctions with stamps really cheap on eBay. Now I know, the concept is, to start out low and hope people will bid way over the face value. But this user has $156.00 worth of postage stamps at $1.00. The auction is over in just 20 hours, about a day.

I was going to bid on an auction yesterday, 7 rolls of stamps for 10 dollars. But my mom told me that they are probably counterfeit stamps...

any thoughts on this? I mean, its a really good deal if the stamps are authentic.

heres one of the auctions-
