I always recommend 1st &2nd for standard SASEs because they act like US forever stamps and are worth the current selling price. Unlike a stamp say which says £1.23- if your SASE takes a long time to come back, the prices may have risen and that stamp is now insufficient. You may not then get your item back.

With 1st & 2nd the chances of being good for the new price are high.

You can use any stamps for any kind of item, as long as enough have been used to meet the postage cost.

It's up to you to decide which is best ;)

Thank you so much! Helped a lot!!! :D

It's up to you to decide which is best as it sounds like your item isn't a standard SASE.

UK International Stamps

Hi i'm interested in sending pictures to get signed by a British actor but i don't live in the UK and this is the first time i'm sending it so i really want to do it right. I have read several suggestions about UK stamps on here that 1st and 2nd class stamps are recommended. Ive looked at the royal mail website and there's also something called international stamps (http://shop.royalmail.com/stamp-sheets/ ... ernational) ? each one is worth 1 pound so I was wondering if i can use that one too. Also, will the stamps (either 1st/2nd/international) work too if i attach the return package in a tube (considered small parcel by Royal Mail). my cost would be about 7.80 pounds. Thank you in advanced for suggestions! I'm very confused by UK stamps!!!
