Yes cash is acceptable. You've a much better chance of success if that cash is for the return country so GBP for UK requests, $AUS for Australia and so on.

The other option is stamps from the return country.

I am very interested in attempting several overseas actor autographs. How would you go about sending the stars postage when the IRCs people recommend are no where to be found or purchased. Is it acceptable to send cash?
