Well Matt,

One option is to explain to the person that you couldn't get any IRC's. Another option would be to see if you can buy [b]stamps[/b] from the England post website--stamps aren't obsolete one day later. You could check the exchange forum (on this website) and see if you can trade for english stamps if you can't find them on the webpage

Other than that there isn't really an option.

THANK YOU, ALL!!! I really appreciate the help. I do live in the U.S. so, hopefully the post office can help me out. You have all been great and more than helpful. I thank you all again for helping me get started at this new hobby.

That's true too. You can sometimes go to the countries postal website and order some stamps that way. I've done that for the UK.

You could use IRC's or you could use that countries stamps. Like if you were sending to Germany then you could get German stamps to put on your SASE. I prefer that to sending IRC's.

If you are sending to the US or another country that uses US currency I guess it would be ok to send us dollars. But if you are sending to a country that doesn't use this currency it's really pointless to send cash. (for the obvious reason of exchange fees).

It's really a preference thing.

I can't get IRC's in my area, and I've tried. So when I send overseas, I usually put in $2 (well concealed).

So, you can buy the IRC's at your local post office? Or is it actually better to include like 2 U.S. Dollars with the envelope? I guess this is sort of a preference question. LOL Thanks!

You could also include dollars to cover the cost of shipping.
