I found that when you do a little research about the person, it usually can raise some good questions. Try finding out about the person's history and usually a really well thought out question will come to mind. I personally have about 10 letters from different celebrities (Felix Silla, Russell Johnson, Katharine MacGregor, a few more).

I receviced a letter from Selena Gomez yeasterday .. (ahh it was soo sweet).
and, yea my tip is to maybe, ask questions, , and to make it easier, make lines under the questions, so the celeb. just need to write on that.
:D
but there are many celebs. that dont have time to answer, like that. =]

When I sent Dana Delaney a LOR with my own picture of her I asked for advice for my friends daughter who wants to be an actress. She signed my photo and also sent a brief note. "Just say what you mean and mean what you say"And she signed the note also. I thought it was very cool of her to do so.

i get REALLY stuck writing letters i never ever know what to say!
i dont want to be like everyone else that writes "im your biggest fan etc etc" but im just no good at doing things like this which is why i very rarely get a reply!

dont get me wrong before i discovered this site i wrote 2 celebs and got signed pictures etc but not any letters!

the one im most dissappointed with though is philip olivier, i wrote 2 him nearly 2 years ago and still havent got a reply which i was gutted about as that was the one i wanted most!
does anyone have another address for him accept the one on this site because that was the one i wrote to so i just want to try another address?

thnx

ps im confused on this matter....how do you request a signed picture through email?
surely you need to send stamps etc

I've had a few personal letters. I don't think if you just want one, you'll get one. It also depends on the celebrity..if they don't want to waste too much time or whatever. Just say something deep from your heart like some really strong compliments and they'll probably thank you or whatever. Sometimes, it's better to ask what they're up to and how they've been.. they'll probably tell you.

Good luck!

I agree with what danny2010 said. Try sending a questionnaire. Don't just be all:

When is your birthday?

How many brothers/sisters do you have?

Because that's probably pretty boring. Ask interesting questions! I'm planning on starting this soon! It'll be a great addition to my collection.

Katherine Kelly Lang sends typed letters. And I got an autograph card by a german actress (Eva-Maria Grein) and when I turned the card I saw she wrote all over it. It was so nice. On the front she signed with her full name and on the back she signed with "Eva". It felt like we really knew each other because it was so personal. :)
