This is going to be my first request I send outside of the U.S. and I want to make sure I do it right. I was looking through the collecting help section and it said something about filling out a form and using IRCs and not to send a SASE with U.S. stamps. So on to my question... Do I need to fill out a form? And can I still use U.S. stamps to get my letter there but include IRCs to recieve it back? I hope this makes sense.

I appreciate any help!!! 8)

Hi phantom04 {up}

You are totally right :D Use US stamps on your envelope to send out your request to the USA (be sure to also attach a free AIRMAIL sticker - you can get this from your post office)

Then you can either enclose a postage paid envelope with UK postage on it (if you have UK stamps), or simply paperclip a couple of IRC's to your return envelope it that suits you better :D

The form you are talking about is a customs declaration, but if you are only sending a letter, or a letter and a photo then you shouldn't have to bother with this. If on the other habd you are sending a more bulky item to be signed, then you might be well advised to fill out a CN22 Customs Declaration. It just declares what you are sending, and prevents the Celeb (or their agent) from being charged any import duty on the item you are sending them :D

Best of luck!

You use US stamps to get your letter there, and UK stamps on the SASE. Or you could send a SAE and include a dollar or two to cover postage.

If you choose to include a SASE, you could always trade with someone on the site for UK postage.
