Re: success rate

Let me see if I can answer this and make some sense. It's up to the individual if they want to count AP's and PP's as a success and add them to their success rate. As far as calculating a success rate, As soon as they go in the mail I add them in the equation regardless if the celeb. has had time or not to respond. As far as how long you wait till you factor in a no response as a failure. I don't believe there is a good answer for that as I have seen responses take years. So if you have 21 out(not counting nov. dec.) and you received 11. Your percentage right now would be 34% success rate. Your 11 for 32.

Have no idea how to do success rates either. I have TONS of requests outstanding, but I only sent them in november, so....its confusing :D I don't count preprints as success, I give them away to people who want them as they're not a real autograph in my eyes. Authentic + personalised authentic letters or auto's? Thats SUCCESS ;) and if I don't recieve a response after 12 months I consider it a failure and try another address

success rate

I've read some people's success rate on this forum. I was wondering how those who calculate their success rate do so. I mean, it would not be accurate to count the recently attemped ones as the celebs haven't had a chance to respond. How long do you wait until you factor in a no response yet as a failure? And do you count PP's and AP's or any other response that might be considered substandard as a success or as a failure?

I have this amount of requests outstanding from these months.

May 10
June 3
July 4
August 4
September 0
October 0
(November and December I'm not counting)

Total: 21 outstanding

I've received 8 authentics and 3 AP/ PP for a total of 11 responses.
(I have no RTS or request denied responses.)

Can you help me calculate my success rate? Or maybe I should wait a few months into the new year to calculate my entire 2oo7 success rate?
