No, it will not diminish your chances. Many celebrities have their own photo to send. Then again, you can always send an index card, like how many users here do :)

Hmm.. just remember to show an interest in their work (ie: if they are actors, mention that you love watching the movies they are in, etc etc). Just try not to abruptly demand an autograph! Use your manners and be polite is all I can say :lol:

Hello there;

I'm new and had two questions I wanted answered, like I said.. sorry if they have been answered.

1. I don't have a photo to send, will this diminish my chances of getting an autograph? Or in the unlikely event they open my letter would they provide their own?

2. What is the best way to request an autograph without sounding rude?
