That sounds fine. That is what I do.
If I send a photo, I send a SASE that is the size of the pic (I usually send 5X7 or 4X6). That way the costs stay down and if they don't respond, I haven't wasted postage for a large envelope.
Occasionally, I send a large envelope in hopes that the celeb will
also send me one of their photos, but that is pretty rare.
