Re: IRC problem

It's actually Ben Barnes I was sending to! I read on here that a couple people just sent SAE so I figured I'd try that. I made my letter stand out A LOT in the hopes that it would get noticed. I also decorated the envelope with stars and swirls in different colors. I'm hoping!

Good luck, Katie23! :mrgreen: I'm sure you'll get something back - I also have problems getting UK stamps (I only have US) so usually I only send a SAE to the UK and recently I got back from Charlie Cox and Ben Barnes! {thumb2}

Let us know when you get a reply! :D And a big welcome to Fanmail.biz, I'm sure you'll enjoy it here! {clap}

Thanks! I'm kinda new to this all. I've sent some letters before but haven't done it "properly" and have never gotten anything back. I've gotten in person autographs but never any through mail. I ended up sending the letter without the $2 (I sent it before I got any replies :D ) but the other people who'd sent to this person said they just sent a SAE so I figured I'd try it. I also included an apology note telling him I was sorry but my post office didn't carry IRC's lol.

Hi Katie23! ;-)

As far as I know, I think you would be able to send $2 to England. {up} I've heard about some who did it and it worked, but I do not know if the celebrity actually used the dollar bill. :?

Good luck!! {thumb2} Feel free to ask if you have any more questions!

Yeah Whenever I send to England, I just put two BRAND NEW $1.00 bills in the envelope. {thumb2} Don't send worn out or tattered dollars bills though. That's not polite.

Question: I'm from the US and I want to send a letter to England. Would it be possible for me to send $2 in US currency? I mean, I have 2 pounds but the coins and it would make the envelope weigh more.

I know it'll sound ridiculous + a waste of time/money but try to go to the bank or anywhere that you exchange your currency and get the money of that country. Send like a minimum of what's $2 in your country to how much it's worth there. It'll prob. make a difference.

I don't use IRCs I use to send just SAE but now I got some of the stamps from different countrys. If you're interested in that, just see if someone will trade with you.

Hi there, its really not a problem unless you're sending via venue. I've only ever used SAE's, and I've had a great, and fast success rate!
