Hi dmb71vw
When I write to a celebrity, on my envelope I always address them as
Mr John Doe or
Ms Jane Doe unless I know that a person is married in which I will address my envelope as
Mrs Jane Doe. However, if I feel more comfortable using
Ms Jane Doe as opposed to
Mrs when writing to someone, I will use it.
Ms is the default form of address for business correspondence with a woman, so if you're unsure of how to address a female, use
Ms.
However as I like to keep my letters in a rather informal tone, my letters are always addressed as Dear John or Dear Jane (no Mr or Ms).
