And as for me, when I send photos I try to get them off of this website:

Because they're generally high quality & big!
As for ordering, you can just take them to the "drugstore", but I usually upload them on CVS.com (If you live in the US I'm sure you know what this is), and then after the order is place, pick them up & Pay at the store. It's cheaper this way (8x10s are cut in halfprice then scanning or printing in store right there), and 4x6s are usually a steal. You don't even need a credit card for this or an account with CVS, just to enter your name.

And you can print them out yourself, but I once bought really crappy printing paper and I got back several autographs where the sig has partially disappeared and the ink is rubbing off. And usually the photo paper is just as pricey as printing! Just wait to print a lot, and sometimes it's cheaper. And you can't beat that they look more professional.
