If the book is hard to find, then I wouldnt chance it.
But if its a common book that can be found on ebay or Amazon, I'd say GO FOR IT!
What do you have to lose?

I have sent out books to 4 people and recieved them all back.
and considering the address is on the website, go for it.
If possible, use some type of confirmation to know they got it when you send it.

Good Luck

Opinions are taken into consideration. I don't know if I mentioned this in the first post, but I have got the author's autograph of the novelization of the video game on PS1 so getting another one would be good, but the book cost me $12.95 + Tax. And ebay...ehh I don't know...

First of all, I'd see if the address was up-to-date. Luckily, theres a place for this--on this forum! It's like the 3rd down from the top and put in his address, etc. and Admin will usually get back to you withint 24 hours, and see if that address matches your other address or if Admin says it's up-to-date, they've usually been pretty good.

I'd also check to see with the last feedback roughly how long it took...if it took 2 months and you're on month 4, then you know you might not get it back.

So unless the book has some symbolance to you, I would probably send it, if the address seems good. You can always get another book!

Or you could press your luck and try for him to sign a copy of his own for you too. You might only get a signature or picture though!

Don't send it. If you lose it, you will regret it. I've lost a few things, I regret sending them, but it was my own fault for taking the risk. I've gotten one of those items back (it was a photo signed by three people, sent it to the fourth person, never got it back), because I resent to the two harder people and I'm about to send it off to the easy one which I hope will come back.

So, I wuold say don't send it if you really don't want to lose it. Try getting another book maybe and send that. You can probably find a cheap used one on ebay.

Your opinion is taken into consideration. I cannot wait to read others opinions on this as well.

Thats a hard one, you never want to send an item that means something to you because you might not get it back. Why not send the cover of the book to be signed instead instead of risking the entire book. I wouldn't worry about the last feedback thing because I sent a request to someone with no feedback whatsoever and a few weeks later got an autograph thing so don't let that bother you too much

I have a book that I want to send to David Hayter so I can get his autograph, but from the feedback on here the last time he was "active" I guess is the word to say was November of 2006. I found an address on his website, but I don't know if I want to send the book there and mentally bite my fingernails waiting for my book to be returned. I mean I'm still mentally biting my fingernails over one of my wrestling books that I sent out in April and haven't received back. I also am savioring the moment to read it, but I'm actually lost in what to do. I already have the author's autograph, but the creator of the game series has no contact address. What should I do?
