I differs a lot, really... Depending on who comes to my mind, if I have the right stamps for return postage etc etc.... Usually, there are 2-3 dozen names on my list that I still wanna write to, but haven't.

I always send a SASE (unless another agreement was made beforehand), I am sending photos unless I know that the celeb sends out their own pics and won't sign photos sent ttm, sometimes I enclose little gifts if I stumble upon something he/she might enjoy. I never buy gifts after thinking "what might he/she be into?" it's more like "oh, xxxx might be into that" when I see something and THEN decide to write.

I am sending out eMail requests only to get infos on where to send the things mentioned above OR if I know it is the proper if not only way to request a signature from somebody.

To give you an idea, this year I have sent out 9 requests and have asked for details via email 4 or 5 times... This includes the letters I have already written and will send out tomorrow.

Hmm, it's a more expensive hobby if you live in Australia and want to send to the US, so I only send one every 3-4 months or so (or when I feel like it). But only if I'm absolutely sure it will get to where it needs to and (hopefully) come back.

I would spend about $12-15 per request (that includes postage, return stamps/IRCs, envelope), and sometimes it's a pain to send stuff overeas- especially when you get a snooty post office assistant who makes you sign all these customs declaration forms and all that noise. I can't just send stuff out for the hell of it or test different addresses all the time from all the way over this side!

2-4 a month,(4 maximum). I didn't realize how much other people send , how can you find that many people to write to? I suppose if you're collecting cast autographs from a movie it might be different but even so, there are 75-100 celebrities you care about?! :neutral:

this month i sent out three to the uk

I do mine in bulk, so it's never one or two a day. It's generally upwards of 75-100 per bulk. I have to keep sending out a lot at a time for decorating a pub.

i send out at least two letter a week it just depends on how much money i have most of my go to the uk and that can add up so i send two the uk.

i send them as i make them.. this week alone ive sent like 3

theres been weeks where ive sent 10+ ... theres been days were ive sent 3+ a day

then theres times were i can go a week or so without sending any

just depends

I write to 2-6 celebs every 2 weeks

Some are USA and some are UK stars

Normally I will send about 5 email requests, and 2 letters per day.

i do it whenever i feel like it. i have to come up with what i'm going to say, get the address and stuff which takes me longer then others. so i send about 1 a month. i'm happy with that. dont overdo yourself. sometimes it's just a putdown.
