For US International postage, see the Letters column of the following table http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/content1?mediaId=53800712&catId=400036 You're best taking it to a post office though, as I'm unsure whether the small/large stamps are needed for International too.

You don't need American stamps on your letter to US, but you will need them on your SASE (or include IRCs).

Dont you have to put U.S stamps on though?
