I usually always stamped my larger envelopes DO NOT BEND and don't think I've been charged extra... then again I didn't really keep track of postage back then. Although it does make sense seeing as how if you'd like to mail things international First Class (and some other services) they can slap on a charge (I've paid up to an extra dollar for a large stiff cardboard envelope) if it's not flexible.

yeah i dont get it.

well idk if i was clear but they dont have to manually stamp 'do not bend' on it they have to manually (by hand) stamp the POSTMARK on (:

That hasn't happened to me yet. :/
I hope it isn't true! You shouldn't have to pay for something like that.
I mean, it's just a notice for the postman not to bend it when they put it in the mailbox or whatever. It's not like they have to do anything special for it.

I put three forever stamps because I don't want to have to make the other person pay....

Hasn't happened to me either, and I ALWAYS write -*photo: please don't bend*- on my SASE's regardless on how big the picture is, or where I send it to. I use the 9x12.5 envelopes, with 2 US Forever stamps.
The only "weird" stamp/mark I got on my SASE before was from Annette Funicello, which said: "In God We Trust 2008"

Are you serious!! :o That's why I always put "DO NOT BEND" on both of the envelopes. I've enver had a problem with it. {thumb2}

I write DO NOT BEND in thick marker then put the pic in it so they dont have to stamp it

oh really.
its just started here because i've never had a problem.

i use 9 by 6 envelopes so idk if its really necessary to write do not bend and waste a stamp.
