That's such a lovely idea :) But yeah I'm from the UK.
We do a thing over here, I don't know if you do it too, it's called 'Operation Christmas Child' where you fill a shoebox with treats and gifts for a child in a poor country. I think that's such an amazing thing :)

Great Holiday Idea

This is just idea, but I loooovvveeeee to send these out. A good idea is to send a care package to a soldier for the upcoming holiday season. I sent out a couple of these. Usually, they include some items like munchies, drink packets, dvds, cds, whatever you'd like to send. You can go to this site www.anysoldier.com (wwwDOTanysoldierDOTcom) You dont even have to send any items just a letter thanking them for their service will probably make their day. These are some items I include:
-Sports items, from fan packs
-Sports updates from all of the leagues
-T-shirt
-Drink packets (like crystal light, the water there isnt very tasty so some flavoring would be great)
-Notebook/stationary (writing passes time for them, and they'd always like to keep in touch with family)
-Autographs (who says they wouldnt enjoy an auto from their favorite star?)
-Munchies (packaged/fatcory sealed-NO HOMEMADE)
-anyhting else, usually on the website they have a the soliders contact address, and then some notes from the soldier on what they'd like in a care package.
So, please take a visit at anysoldier.net It would be great sending care a packages, as a lot of people post topics on, Who should I send to? Well, heres a great place to send.
There is also marines, navy, air force, sailor, etc.
Please check out the site, and I hope you can at least send a letter.
