lol atleast you got something from taylor id love love love to have her auto. and another red sox that signs is bobby thomson( the shot heard round the world ,i know he only played half a season for them towards the end of his career but he still played for them) i got mr.thomsons auto btw so ya.

Another way is to send jersey numbers. Postage is cheap. They are inexpensive (so if you loose them no biggy).

Also you can send a letter frst asking the player if they would sign the item (jersey, football, helmet) put an index card in with the request written and 2 boxes yes & no. also put an SASE in and ask them to send it back. This is a great way to guarantee a signing (also ask the player to sign the card) that way you can guarantee that the auto is authentic.

Include the card when you send the item that way the player will realize they have already agreed.

They are all pretty good I got Dirk and Kidd on 8x10's the other two on baseballs last year. Its a big risk but worth it if it works

email the team, most team websites have emails or phone numbers, you can call to ask qusteions. personaly you would be better off phoning i think because i bet they get tons of emails.

and btw jrc i would be extremly upset to this day about loosing that kind of stuff, i will send nothing valuable to celebs ttm, i was thinking about sending a simpsons comic to get signed by dan castellaneta(voice of homer) but i was like forget it what if i dont get it back, well i did get a reply from dan then later i thought to myself how nice would that comic look now, instead of this homer simpson cutout(i love the item but a signed comic is better then a cutout) but ya i only send index cards, computer printed out photos and magazine cutouts(thou i dont do that all that often anymore because i heard the paper will eventualy deterioate the autograph)

The other have completely right. But if you want to have a signed jersey, try to email them first and ask if they will sing if thats possbile. Thats my tip.

If you are willing to spend the money on the jersey and the 15 or so bucks for shipping back and forth, my recomendation would be to spend the 15 bucks on a cheap ticket to a game where a player you want is playing, and just make sure you get there really early for shoot around or warm ups. In the past I have sent things like Starting Lineup figures which were quite valuable at the time and I am sure they ended up in some mailroom guys house. I have never received a large item back. One time I sent a 3-player card which had already been signed by 2 of the 3 players and I never got it back from the third player. So my golden rule is don't send anything you don't mind losing.

Maybe try to just send one of those t-shirts with there team and name, it's just like a jersey but its a t-shirt. Your best bet is with Jason Kidd or Dirtk Nowitzki, very good repliers!
