Hi Star9685!
Firstly, I'd just like to add that there is absolutely
nothing wrong with sending little gifts - they would (of course) appreciate the kind gesture of a fan sending them a little something unique. {thumb2}
I myself very rarelt send gifts, as I've said here before only in my second letters to the same person after they sent me an autograph (not to everyone!).

But when I do, I always handmade something myself, usually little bracelets or bookmarks with a nice quote on it.

You don't have to send a gift at all, because if you at least do the "trouble" to handwrite a nice letter, it should be enough!

If you get a special reply and would like to thank the person for their time, that's when I sometimes send gifts.
I suggest that you "study" the interests of the person you're writing to, and that should give you an idea on what to send. For example, I sent actor Charlie Cox a special handmade bracelet as he's a very modern guy, and of course he kindly thanked me for it.
Good luck Star9685!! {thumb2}
