well ive never sent a gift to a celeb. and their have been times i felt bad because it is nice of any celeb to reply to us fans and their are some people who i really feel bad for not giving a gift too like chelsea staub or even selena gomez(when she did sign authentic) i mean chelsea is extremly sweet to me, and ive mentioned numerous times about how both of them have made extremly sweet gestures they didnt have to make, even after the fact of signing one autograph.

on two un-related side notes thou, its awsome when celebrities are nice to us and in all fairness if their not nice to us we can never look at them the same, even if they overcharge at a signing i hate it, but they dont have to sign for us lets not forget that. and on my other note it really is ashame selena gomez doesent sign authentic ttm anymore she was the best signer of them all, i remenber when wizards first came out she even signed via myspace.

Some of you guys have good ideas. I just think spending over a couple dollars on something could be a waste. Just because some people get so much fan-mail that they may never receive it.

Hi Star9685! ;-)

Firstly, I'd just like to add that there is absolutely nothing wrong with sending little gifts - they would (of course) appreciate the kind gesture of a fan sending them a little something unique. {thumb2}

I myself very rarelt send gifts, as I've said here before only in my second letters to the same person after they sent me an autograph (not to everyone!). :) But when I do, I always handmade something myself, usually little bracelets or bookmarks with a nice quote on it. {up} You don't have to send a gift at all, because if you at least do the "trouble" to handwrite a nice letter, it should be enough! :D If you get a special reply and would like to thank the person for their time, that's when I sometimes send gifts.

I suggest that you "study" the interests of the person you're writing to, and that should give you an idea on what to send. For example, I sent actor Charlie Cox a special handmade bracelet as he's a very modern guy, and of course he kindly thanked me for it. :mrgreen:

Good luck Star9685!! {thumb2}

I sent David Tennant a birthday card that sang "Happy Birthday David" for his 35th, and on the reply he wrote Thank You...that really made my day!

I also sent Jo Joyner a large sundae glass filled with bath stuff (it came like that)...cost me £10 to send...no reply yet and that was in late November (early Christmas present to beat the rush!).

So I guess it can be a waste of money if you never hear back, though I do think that if you put thought into it and adore the celeb then it is worth it!

Cheap gifts - little keychains with their name on, you can pick them up for a few pound. Or those little cards with poems on. They really wont mind if you dont sent anything, but if feels nice yourself!

I have made cards before and sent hand made bracelets and earrings once. You can get nice embroidery threads and beads or swarovski crystals at sewing shops.

I bought a brooch to Katy Perry and sent it to her via venue =)

I think that sometimes sending a gift to a celeb can be a bit cheesy. If you write a letter to them in your own handwriting it shows that you have spent time and that they should appreciate.

they don't need/want anything from you.

It might seem impersonal, but if you have an idea for something they enjoy, a gift card is nice. Of course, you'd want to send them a well written note to accompany it and explain why you chose it.

Yeah, haha. The only thing is I really can't draw...I just think it shows you took some time doing something... I also always decorate the envelope. Savannah Outen and Chelsea Staub both gave me a compliment on that, so it's worth it. :D
