Unfortunatley, I agree. The letters are most likely under water. Unless when they evacuated, they took all the letters with them. However, I don't think that fanmail was at top of their priority list.

Don't get me wrong; the first thing on my mind in this disaster are my prayers and best wishes to all those affected.

But does anyone have pending mail sent to the the affected areas? I have a Fats Domino letter sent to New Orleans a month ago... what will happen to these letters?
