Hi topher20! ;)

I've seen you ask this type of question before, but I can assure you that most celebrities sign the photos themselves. {up} No one can write exactly like another person, and there's always a tiny thing in an autograph which make us spot real from fake. If a person doesn't want to reply, they don't have to! But some "high profile" actors such as Pacino, Travolta, De Niro, etc. hire someone to sign for them. Most young actors such as Zac Efron, Rob Pattinson, Selena Gomez, etc. even handle all of their mail themselves (or rather used to) - you could tell that they wrote the addresses on the envelopes. :) Nowadays, if they can't handle their mail anymore, they simply don't reply - easy as that. I myself regulary watch videos on YouTube of my fav celebrities signing in person, watch films where they write in a movie (very interesting to spot!) and browse autographs on AutographWorld.com. That way you actually can be 100% of the authenticy - try me. {thumb2}

This is a good question, the thing is we will never actually be 100% sure that it's not a secretary signing for them if they are accurate enough because some secs may have been signing for so long. It's the hardest one to distinguish from all types of autographs because the autograph experts or even some non experts can identify preprints, stamped autographs or autopens. I think what makes it real and not a sec is that we compare it with the autographs obtained in person.
I don't think anybody has asked the celeb to take a picture with their autographs, no. Think how long it would take with having to pose for a photo with everyone's requests! :)
Also, some celebs, e.g. Robert Pattinson before the release of Twilight is just known to handle mail themselves {thumb2}

Hope that answered your question :)

how do you know if the autographs your getting are even real or signed by the celeb or athlete ? Anyone could be signing for them... has anyone sent a camera and asked to have them take a picture with the item or anything like that?
