Interesting topic, in eastenders, i normally get the kids ones back first they are personlised to, they came back in about 10days, i think they like signing, its always nice to recieve fan mail and they dont film as much?

I think some celebrities just have a better [b]fan mail system[/b] in place, in other words, they have a certain procedure which they follow when they receive mail. {thumb2} For example, the agent immediately forwards the mail to where the celebrity is (I've figured this out with Robert Pattinson, for example). :) With others, they pre-sign photos and either [b]a)[/b] send it out immediately, [b]b)[/b] the agent adds the personalisation or [b]c)[/b] the celebrity later adds a personalisation (if he has the time). I know this as I've seen examples where this method has been done before, and it speeds up the receive time. {up}

Also, as some of the above posters have mentioned, I think many celebrities enjoy going through fan mail and replying (ok, obviously not actors such as Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, etc. as they're too busy!) - it gives them support and can lift their spirits. :D

I think it's because they have a stack of pre signed photos they sign for everyone who only sends an LOR and no pics. :)

Maybe every day or every other day they will sign the ones that have sent items.

I honestly don't know. When I get success, I think it's mostly because I send right before they pick up mail :D

Like others have said, I think the bigger celebrities will sign a load in bulk, and then someone else opens their mail and sends the autographs off to the fans for them. Those who are not so famous will dedicate more time to their fans, plus they will not get nearly as much mail as bigger celebrities anyway so it wouldn't take them as long.

The only one that really makes me think is Judi Dench, she responds in like a week and always personalises her pictures. And not only does she have to respond to TTM requests, but email as well. She's still quite a busy lady so I just don't see how she gets through her mail so quickly, she would literally have to spend hours signing a day. But maybe she just really loves her fans! :)

well it depends on the celeb and how much mail they get, i mean alot of older celebs reply really fast because they dont get alot of mail anymore , and some younger stars do the same because their just starting to get fans , and also like someone else mentioned sometimes their authentic but pre signed photos getting sent, none the less if its authentic it doesent matter if it takes ten days or ten month as long as your a fan of the celeb then you should be quite happy with their kindess.

i have 6 autographs that ive received in less then a month after sending.

I think that they just enjoy signing and sign alot. If I were a celebrity, I'd love signing. If it's an A-List celebrity, it's most likely fake if they reply that quickly, unless they just got it on a day they were signing and it was on top of the pile.

But Alyson Stoner for example, takes 10-20 days to sign, she's been in quite a few shows and movies, and I know it's authentic. But that is different too, because she's a teen-celebrity rather than an A-List celebrity such as, Rachel McAdams for example.

Well, I write mainly to people that others don't consider "celebs" (WWII Aces, Tuskegee Airmen, Band of Brothers, MOH Recipients) so I know that they read their mail when they get it - They read the letter and respond quickly. I've gotten most of my requests back in under 2 weeks.

But as for "mainstream" celebs - I'd bet that a lot of the younger celebs do take time and those that are not A-listers also take the time to sign quickly.

But how would you explain when a celebrity signs for a month where you've seen someone get theirs back all with less than 10 days since they sent and nothing past a month or so?? i mean if you saw successes that were first 15 days then 10 and then shortly after 3 or 4 days.
