Hey.

I think most people will read mail :D

I have always though that people will have someone open the mail for them and if it's NOT spam they forward it.

I know people like Miley Cyrus and other BIG stars do not go through mail themselves. I know Jonas Brothers do, but they don't often reply :D

This is what I likee believing, even if it isnt true :D

I would say 85%-90% of the time. Some celebrities actually do read their mail thru their agency, but some only sign via-venue. Unfortunately, some don't at all
So don't you worry. I think you should make a copy of your letter (just a suggestion!) if you think you don't have a good chance of getting something back.

If you suspect a celebrity will not read your letter, use a letter form such as this one:
Dear ------------------,

Hello, my name is Aamir, I am 14 years old, and I live in Sheffield, in the United Kingdom. I am a big fan of you, and also of a massive fan of your comedy routines.

You are such a -------------. I can’t believe how -----------------. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------.

Like I said before, I am a huge fan of you, and I was wondering if you could fulfil a request for me.

I have sent to you --------------------------------. Could you please sign them, and return them to me, as I am a huge fan of you, and I would really appreciate having your autograph? I would treasure the signed pictures of you forever. I have even provided you with an envelope and postage so you can easily reply to me. Also, if you have the time, could you please fill in the questionnaire I sent to you and send it back? I would love to know a little more about you!

Thank you very much for reading my letter, ---------------. I hope to hear from you soon. Good luck with -----------------------------. I hope you do really well.

With regards,

Aamir
However, I would discourage this as it shows that you are not a real fan.
But I use this for celebrities that I think may not read my letter such as footballers who pre-sign items.

Hi cb1892! ;-)

Well, of course not everyone actually read their mail, but just get a list of names to personalise photos for and sign it, and the agent does the rest. {up} But I can guarentee you that there are many celebrities that still takes the time to really read their letters, and you can notice this from the type of reply you get. {thumb2}

Some agents would even forward the celebrities mail to another country where they currently is, for example when I sent to Alfred Molina to his agency in the UK, my envelope was postmarked all the way from Los Angeles. So yes, some agents still does the trouble to actually get your letter to the celebrity themself! :D

Hope this helps!
zanne

They may forward it onto their agents ;)

I've e-mailed a couple of agencies but I feel that they just tell you what you want to hear.

The celebrity I want to write to is based in Glasgow but with an agency based in London. It's the same with a few other agencies I've tried, they live hundreds of miles away from their agency.

If you want to be sure then just e-mail them. I've done it before and have received replies saying yes or no within half hour,

If I send my letter to the celebrities agent, what are the chances of the celebrity actually reading it?

I put all my time into writing letters then I think to myself what is the point if they aren't going to read it?

Do some agencies pass all of the mail onto the celeb or do they just stick anything in an envelope to keep you happy?
