I very rarely see celebs at home, but since I have been visiting London a helluva lot recently I have taken to carrying index cards and a sharpie with me. When I go to a David Tennant event (like the recent Comic Relief), I always take a theatre programme. Just in case. I carried one around Cardiff for an entire week.

Always take a sharpie to a party.

i actually do carry index cards and a few markers in my bag, ever since i started coming to this site. and it's actually paid off! i went to a David Archuleta/Gavin Degraw concert back in December and after Gavin performed, he jumped off stage and started signing for people, but no one had anything for him to sign for some reason, except maybe their ticket stub. so, i just made my way through the crowd with a couple index cards and got them signed!

i'm going to NYC in a month with school, i'll have to stock up for then just in case! :D

Celebrities never come to my town, or just when they make a concert here but they stay in the venue all the time... Anyways, I always have papers and pens in my bag.
When I go to Paris, and when I see celebrities in the street (it happened 5 times), I don't really like them, so I don't ask for an autograph LOL.
But I hope for meeting someone I really admire one day :D

I should probably start carrying one around. However I live in Mississauga (30 min from Toronto) so i don't really see too many celebs wandering around and I rarely go downtown. Maybe in the summer when I have more free time I'll be able to "accidently' bump into someone  LOL
And to add to other comments, I also walk around in my own little world. I am totally oblivious most of the time, it's quite scary
heehee ;-)

I've only met one fairly minor celebrity by chance and that was Dudley Sutton, whom I knew from Eastenders as the crook 'Wilfred' who was to be married to 'Nana Moon'. I met him in an art gallery, and he signed some lined paper for me! He was lovely. Unfortunately this was around 5 years ago and I somehow misplaces the autograph, despite carefully keeping it for years. :? But I found out that he is a friend of a friend of a friend or something, so I'd be able to get his again. :)

Phoebe :D

The only actor's I happened to meet by accident were Steve Martin and Tom Hanks, both in Geneva, Illinois. I meet Steve on the outskirts of Geneva at a motel where he was filming Novocaine. I have Steve Martins autograph on a napkin (really nice guy). My dad drove me to downtown Geneva when Tom Hanks was filming Road to Perdition. I have his autograph on the back of an envelope. I wasn't really prepared to meet them, that's why I had them sign random stuff...

It's the number one rule for autograph collectors.

I've met a Mel Gibson stunt double in a resturaunt, because Mel was filming a movie in a down 45 minutes away, I actually saw the set on the last day of filming, too! But didn't meet Mel. Paul Blart: Mall Cop was filmed an hour or so away from me, too, and I went to the mall and the bartenders in Legal Seafood which is next door to the mall said all the actors came in an sat at that bar. And, I wasn't there this time, but my parents were at a resturaunt 15 minutes from me and they met the star of Fever Fitch (not Drew, the guy, but I forgot his name) which is cool. So, I have a Sharpie and note pad in my purse at all times. I hope I meet a celebrity one day, seeing they film here a lot more often now, for some reason! Haha .

I always carry around a notepad for important things.

Where I live no celebrities are around

Whenever I travel I am ALWAYS sure because the place I frequently visit it Los Angeles.
Well, your profile says you live in Colorado and I know that AnnaSophia Robb lives in Denver, Colorado, even goes to a high school there! So you could bump into her one day if you happen to goto Denver.
I go to a high school in denver.... I wish I knew which one she went to! LOL

I never knew that!

I always have index cards and a sharpie (or three) in my purse. It's not like too many celebs film where I am, but I often take day trips into Philadelphia or NYC. :)

I was super lucky to be near where they were filming Dogma (I cut some classes to watch it), and I like to go to the Stone Pony, so there's always a chance I'll meet someone. Slim to none chance, but still slim.

I'm afraid my autograph book would just be a pointless item cluttering up my already full to bursting handbag  In 24 years nobody even a little bit famous has visited my village. If I did see someone famous while out walking, I'd just get them to sign the dog
