I prefer handwriting letters as it helps me concentrate on the content of the letter. However, as long as the content is good, there is no problem with typing letters. At the end of the day it is a personal choice for you.

I've only typed one of my letters and gotten it back. I love writing them just because the celebrity can see a little bit more about me. Like what my writing looks like. :)

After taking exams at school, i think I should Start typing. Don't want writers cramp :)

I agree. I always type my letters and I have about 90% success rate.

I do spend a lot of time on the content of the letter, the better the letter, the nicer the response.

It's not that I have bad hand writing, I actually have very nice hand writing(if I say so myself) ;-)
It's just a lot faster and easier, especially because I like to rewrite my letters and make them perfect. If I would hand write them it would take me hours and hours to finish.

It was frustrating at first - but when I re-wrote to the people later (2 of whom had passed on) I hand-wrote the other letters and have gotten almost all of them back. So it was worth it in the end. :)

So I just hand write, I like it better. :)

WOW!! That must be pretty disappointing Selise!

I have typed some recent letters (and have gotten a response) because I got some real nice computer paper for Christmas from my siblings.

I would say that handwriting is more personal and shows that you put some effort in it, but if your handwriting is bad, yes, I'd say type it. It is very frustrating to not be able to read a letter. But then decorate it or put a sticker or two on it to give it a more personal touch.

Good luck. {thumb2}

I always type my letters. My hand writing is not the best so I try to joke about it in my letter. I've never had any problem with it. I think it's the content of the letter that matters.

my handwriting looks like crap!!!!so i type all of my letters. I always include a personal note or message/paragraph in them, and i ALWAYS personally sign it. I even go so far(because my handwriting is so bad) as to use my printer to address the envelope i send it in. I dont this its impersonal at all. actually; a letter is one of the most personal types of communication becauswe it hows time and effort, not speed and sheapness...like email.

I've never typed a letter as I my handwriting is Ok, I will always write my letter by hand.

If you have bad hand writing I am sure any celebrity would understand if you typed your letter, as long as you make a joke about it, and mentioned it. Otherwise they might think you put little effort into writing to them and it's just another form letter.

I've collected TTM since 1998. I've typed 10-20 letters, and have never gotten one of them back.

I hand write all of my letters, and I'd say that I have a pretty good success rate. It does take a longer time to write to people, but it's not about how your handwriting looks, it's about the time you had to put in. Then the celeb also knows it's not a "form" letter where you just change a sentence or two.

You don't have to write in cursive, you can print - that's what I do. I never learned how to write in cursive, nor can I read it. I think if you put in a PS - sorry my handwriting is horrible it'd be ok too. Plus, the more you practice your handwriting the better it becomes.

All requests I have sent out so far have been typed because I thought it looked better and more professional but then I realised I'm not their lawyer, I'm a fan - my letter doesn't need to be professional do I hand wrote my first letter today. My writing isn't perfect but its a bit more personal than my usual letters.
