It could be John Howe, but it is a complete guess. He did the artwork for The Lord of the Rings films and books. He has a website with portfolios of hundreds of his artwork. It somewhat looks like he could have did the artwork and signed it, but who knows. ;)

I picked this up at estate sale also, and don't know who it is signed by. I can't make out the signature, can anyone help? Thanks!
