I remember his response coming back relatively quickly. He was still an active player then, and he'll always be a HUGE fan favorite here in the metroplex. Rusty played the way the game should be played...110% all the time.
Yeah, he was my favorite baseball player for basically his entire career, even though I'm a Red Sox fan. He also autographed everything I ever mailed him as well as a few things in person. His signed jersey is in my closet at home.

Hey Coah Greg! Such an awesome project your working on. I started out collecting mainly Star Wars Cast and crew signatures back in 2003, but have since exspanded my horizon to inlcude other Celebrities, sports figures, historical, music and severl other genres. I've gotten over 1,000 signatures and many letters and unique gifts through out the years. {thumb2}

Keep up the splendid job on your collecting! :D

We are up to 27 WNBA responses, with five rejection letters, all from the Indiana Fever players. Even though they are playing for a WNBA title, there is no reason for the front office not to save it in the player's mail stack until they are finished if it is that big of a distraction. The Fever are playing the Mercury, and we have gotten a TON back from them. So I just don't get it.

Five more came in today...10 out of 11 responses have been signed in the first two weeks...geez, that's a lot of bonus points I gotta come up with!

Several years ago, I started having my class write to their favorite celebrities. We were learning formats of letters and how to write them. The kids had a blast.
