I send to many untested / no feedback addresses by doing so I add to my collection. I also have tried many that are not listed in the database at all, and if others want to try (and I have been successful) they might have better "luck".

Yes there have been many times when I have tried an untested address or an address that I have found myself. I have received some amazing successes, but there are also some that I have never heard back from.
I always do a little research first however to find information of some kind which verifies for me that the address will have a chance of working, I wouldn't just send to any random address.

All the time. It's always worth a try to get someone that you really want.

I'm about to use an address like that, I think it's good to try it. If no-one does, we may never know if it's a good address or not. And some celebs only have 1 address, because there not "that famous", so that would be the only address their fans can write to. Or try to. So sometimes it's the only way to try and get the autograph.

Yes, I have done this several times and have had good luck with the majority of my requests! {thumb2}

I got Roger Daltrey of The Who by trying a MovieEye address that hadn't been used yet. Got my photo back in under a month with a great personalization.

I tend to agree with margotchanning. If no one tries the "untested" addresses there could be a huge untapped source of autographs. I have posted numerous success that have no previous feedback and will continue to do so.

I believe that the expense is minimal compared to the "benefit" of adding to my collection.

Yep! They'd go untested forever if nobody was the first to try it {thumb2} I usually wait a few weeks though to see if anyone tests them first though

yes! I've written to a lot of people that haven't had successes here, and I've gotten a bunch of great responses. Sometimes there is an occasional RTS, or a no response, but I have gotten a lot of great successes.
