Hey,
Well I think if you put it a little more friendly,it might work and it wouldn't sound rude.You can probably say"If you don't mind,can you sign my picture instead of sending a pre-print?"Or if you choose to use the line you wanted,you have to know what celebrity to send it to ;-) .Hope it works {thumb2} .Good luck :razz:

If a celebrity sends preprints, then they won't even get the mail in the first place since it's their management that'll handle all the mail. In that sense, I don't think you should send to a celeb who sends preprints if what you're seeking is an authentic.

I know - it's just that I've seen rare occasions in which a person got lucky when they sent something.* I guess it just depends on the celeb's mood, I guess? :mrgreen:

Just wanted to ask. Thanks for your opinions you 2. :)

*But like Ryan J said, it could always be a secretary or something... :neutral:

Check the feedback beofre you send and if the celeb sends out PP's, then they could not sign authenticly.
If you still want to ask, I would say 'I know your very buisy but would it be ok if you handsigned the picture that I have included' or something like that.
Good luck [ugotmail]

Well if you know that they send pre-prints before even sending a letter, then why send? That's why I research the address and the celeb's signing habits before sending a request. To make sure that what I'm getting is Authentic. You could put that phrase in your letter, but then a secretary or agent might sign on behalf of the celeb instead of sending the pre-print.

Just my thoughts. {thumb2}

that if the celebrity sends preprints to ask in the letter "I don't want a preprint, I just want you to sign my photo."

I know the celeb will probably not listen, but is it still rude to ask? :neutral:
