I have only ever sent one request through Myspace and that was to The Automatic in about 2006 - I never got a reply or an autograph though!

I've had the same experience. It's very frustrating, because you get excited for an autograph that will just never show up!

I've never given my address out on myspace. I just email the band/singer and ask for an address to send my cd to for them to sign.
As far as successes through emailing and asking for the address.... I've goten successes from: Anika Paris, Angela McCluskey, Katy Rose, Jaye Barnes Luckett, James St. James, Lillix, Alexa Ray Joel.

ive gotton a few successes from myspace, plus alot of addys to write if they dont have any or want money. i just figure...why not try. yes its irritating to see that person has no replied to your myspace msg but some do reply.

I've requested a few via MySpace months ago but haven't gotten any -- YET.

I was trying to find the mailing address (for their agents) to Jenny Wade and Ingrid Oliu. I emailed Jenny at her myspace page and she replied with an address and a nice little note. Ingrid was with CESD and they do not forward anymore. I found her on Facebook and she emailed me back with an address.

Before you send a request make sure that it is official account and not a fake account.

It all depends on the celebrity...and probably how popular they are.

My only tip is treat it like a letter: be polite and tell why you are a fan and include your address when you request the photo. I also have had people e-mail and say they will send a photo and I haven't gotten it, so it really depends. But if you try it and do get a success, PLEASE don't post the e-mail/url address or spammers will get it and flood them with requests. A true fan can probably find it. {thumb2}

I even asked for an adress to write them at those times and they said just to give them my adress, but I did not got anything but still the emails is nice to save.
