Early in my collecting career I never sent my own pictures, but when success rate dropped, I recently started sending my own photo's. I hope this increases my success rate! {up}

I have only sent a few of my own. I always include an idex card just in case.

I like to send my own picture, mainly because not all celebs will provide one. Sometimes I send dvd sleeves and other objects to be signed. If the only picture I can send isn't of the best quality, I'll mention in my letter that it's the best picture I could find and if they have a better one, I'd prefer that. The other upside to sending your own pic, there's a better chance of not getting a PP.

I always send something to be signed ie : pic, comic, dvd insert, magazine or whatever.

Some will just send you a PP if you don't send an item to be signed. Slash for example.

But Sending you own pic is never a sure thing because of the dreaded AP or just plain secs . Johnny Depp, John Travolta, Robin Williams, Clint Eastwood, Deniro, Pacino and the list goes on

I usually send my own photos with my requests unless I like the picture the celeb sends {up}

I like to send my own pics because I can chose a photo that best represents what I like about the person, like sending a photo from my favorite movie ect.

Plus if you get your photo back signed you at least know it is not a pre print, which I always have a hard time figuring out with most 8x10 photos stars send.

That's good to know!

I haven't sent any pic so far because half the fun of getting them is not knowing the photo you'll get either. Plus I love getting promo pics of singers or actors too. I think most actors will supply their own if you don't, I've only heard Christian Bale doesn't.

I usually ask for one if I'm sending to a Soap actor as they have little cast cards that they sign. I like to collect those. I usually send my own if I want a photo from a specific movie or from when the celeb was youneger. {thumb2}

I don't think it really makes a difference to my success rate either way. I do pretty well when I ask and when I send my own :D

I do send my own pics, because I'd like to have autograph on my favorite pics.

For me it depends on who the celebrity is. If I know the celebrity sends their own pictures, and I like the picture that they send then I will just ask for them to send me a signed picture. If the celebrity doesn't send their own pictures or there is no feedback for them then I will send a picture just to be safe.

I don't think it's impolite not to send a picture, but unless I know for definite that the celebrity will send a picture then I will always include one. If you are sending via venue however then you should include a picture because celebrities usually won't have pictures on them.
