Or you could do what I do...
Go to the post office and weigh the SASE with the items to be returned on the scale they provide (using the zip code from where it's being sent from) and then purchase any additional stamps I might need, if necessary. Then I check the whole package to make sure I've got enough stamps on that. I usually go in the morning when there's no big crowd there yet, so I breeze right through. When I can't get there early enough to beat the crowd and I need more postage, I'll just throw another Forever stamp on it.
