The only on I didnt get back when sending IRC's was Helena Bonham Carter.

I bought Canadian stamps and tried those for the first time on some card requests.

Anyhow, who did reply to you upon sending IRCs?

IRC's and cash are as bad as each other. Rather try obtaining the stamps of the country you're sending to, for a better chance of success.

Can it be that celebs don't know how to use IRCs? Or maybe some post offices don't accept IRCs as payment?

That's what I send: UK/France/Canada/Finland-stamps, US-cash (planning on buying more stamps). Other countries: IRC's. I used to use IRC's a lot but I gave up-it's more expensive and I wasn't very successful...

I don't think USPS ever offered IRCs via their website.

If you send cash, it's really best to send in the currency of the destination country, otherwise, there's really no point and you shouldn't send any cash at all. While I'm sure some people have had successes sending cash in the wrong currency, that's really more because the celebrity didn't mind covering the postage.

I have no experience with USPS, but in Germany you can only buy IRCs over the internet. No availability in post offices. Haven't found anything about IRCs being sold in the US, but there's the International Business Reply. Sounds somehow similar to IRCs ([url]http://www.usps.com/international/intlbusinessreply.htm[/url]).

So it seems sending cash is the better option...
