i second the www.celebritybooksigningsandevents.com website. LOVE it. I've been using it for years.

go to www.eventful.com, enter your location, then search for "autograph" or "signing". that works from time to time

Look up the local bookstores in your general area. I live in PA so I have Borders. Their site has a calander with all the signings, they get big name stars and it's free (well cost of the book).

Also look up your favorite star, band, show, teams and keep track of their events calander.

If you get a local events newspaper, I have "The Weekender" and it lists all the events, concerts, shows, and stuff like appearances.

Check your local radio stations websites. They list "live in studio interview or appearance or performance. You can easily meet the stars at the radio station.

If you like wrestling that seems to be the easiest to find appearances. Just Google wrestling autograph signings.

If you are less interested in the who is signing Google autograph signing, meet and greet, promotional apprearance, autograph convention, and Star Trek, Star Wars, Twilight, wrestling, horror, comic, and a few others have bi-annual or annual conventions.

Keep up with autograph collecting communities via messageboards. Typically whenever someone sees a signing they are excoted about they post the details.

How do you find out who will be doing signings near by? Signingshotline.com is ok for sports signings, but not so great if you're using the free sites. Any suggestions?
