You can put any type of writing instrument in an auto pen machine. From any color sharpie to a crayon.

Of course they can, it just depends on what colour pen was used. An AP is just a machine that they stick a pen in, and for a preprint it just depends what colour it was originally signed in before it was reprinted.

just wondering can preprints/autopens be in purple sharpie? just wondering b/c not sure if an item of mine is preprinted/autopeened or not.
