Well I have been collecting since 1989, and between 1989 and 2009 my success rate was 66% that replied, failures are due to some stars not signing, wrong address's. Up to November 2009 I had just over, 1,600, so that works out at quite a lot not replying.

Although some photos came back TTP 3 to 4 years later, and that is slow.

Since November 2009 I have wrote to 195, I have received 45 photos.

Sadly many I am sure will not reply, for instance Pamela Anderson on stage in the UK, Kelly McGillis (here in Jersey, no reply, sadly wrote to Kathryn Grayson, Fess Parker recently died.

But you just keep waiting you never?

One things for sure will never run out of stars to write too.

you can see on my web site, pending requests, recent success, actors alive and over the age of 85 years old, and recently deceased, which may help you.

I just checked and the count is 45. I thought THAT was bad. After reading everyone's responses, I take it back. 45 is about average (it seems).
It seems that most (not all) African American celebrities have the most atrocious turn around.

I've lost count; it's got to be at least 50-60.

I've gotten like half of them back, and half of them are still out there, or in the trash by now. :?

Since February 2009 I have 58 requests pending. I actually thought it was more than that.

Are they ones you are likey to get back? Celebs who are known for long wait times? Do you send many requests?

Thats lots of requests! I agree it is a small outlay for getting a great success. Id never sell my autographs because I like them too much but I have seen some of the autographs I have being sold for good money and I think well it only cost me £1 - £3 to get that autograph! And they look so good in my alum too :D

I never realised how many people I am actually a fan of until I started this hobby !

How many requests do you think you sent since then? Is 66 a reasonable amount for you? ie say you sent out 400 requests then waiting on 66 is good but if you only sent out 100 requests to start with then the success rate isnt so good
