Hi,
Yup..the mailmen are really annoying :roll: .I had suprised my sister with her 1st autograph and when she got it,the side of the pic was bent :roll: :roll: .In addition to the"DO NOT BEND" on the envelope,it was 1st class so it's supposed to be in good condition.BTW,the mail box wasn't too small :lol: .

Sorry for all those who got damaged pics ;-)

I have a big plastic box outside to protect my envelopes from the dog! I think my postman is intent on insuring my envelopes get to me in good condition to prove what a great idea the external mailbox is! I've got many autographs with dog tooth marks in from my letter box days! I'm sure my postman is glad he doesn't have to put his hands through any more!! :lol:

We had a mailman who was on the same route for 22 years. He knew about my collecting, and put stuff in the door if it didn't fit in the mailbox. He retired, and now we have random mailmen and mailwomen. Can't say I've had any major problems.

Wow. My mailman is amazing compared to all of yours :lol:
If I have an autograph coming which says DO NOT BEND PLEASE, he knocks on the door and hands it to me so he doesn't bend it. Whereas he just puts in the slot on the door when it doesn't say.
:)

for some reason with my maillady if it says do not bend she doesnt if it doesnt say anything she does :lol: :roll: so I got a stamp made at Office Depot (20 bucks but worth it) (they make them over in the shipping/copying part) and just stamp the thing and off it goes and I dont have any issue's anymore

But to the one talking about them breaking you box with a book for some reason my maillady put 2 books I had ordered (both the size of Twilight's Breaking Dawn) in the box at the same time PLUS 3 mag's and 3 auto's and the rest of the mail lol It was fun trying to get all that out :lol:

I also asked if I got any flats in the mail would he mind not bending them. Today he hand delivered a large manila envelope to our door (and we live a good distance from our mailbox) because, "I figured you wouldn't want this bent even though it doesn't say do not bend." and he was right, it was an autograph inside.

Sometimes getting to know the carrier and chatting them up a bit can pay off.
I Know and thank god my old mailman retired finally !!! and the new guy is alot better I have already made friends with him
and he doesn't destroy my mail!!! :D {up} :D {up}

The only thing that works is rigid photo mailers,it's more expensive and you need a bigger envelope to send it all in and more postage but it's worth it in the end,even my last 9x12 rigid cardboard mailer came back with minor creases and 2 grease stains lol but the photo was undamaged imagine if it had been a regular envelope the grease would have soaked right through,i mean whats he using mail for donut coasters lol
