if u really like someone, i dont see the problem with it.

the problem comes in when people do this with eveyrone

I have but in my mind I had a good reason. When I wrote Dirk Nowitzki back a long time ago he signed my card and returned it, so once I saw he signed I took a risk and sent him my jersey of his to sign too.

I probably wouldn't send to the same person twice just to have two signed pictures of them.

I'll write to a celeb more than once if I get another great item for them to sign. I'll wait at least a year between requests.

I will write to celebs more than once, but only request their autograph once.
I think, if they reply, it's lovely to hear from a celeb and see how they're getting on, etc, but I don't need more than one of their autographs.

I would write only once to the celeb. Unless I was wanting to get their autograph for someone as a present then I would send twice.
