I think you have a much better chance sending a couple with your letters than not sending anything at all.

Also, I know some folks on here buy stamps for the country they're sending to.
I used to use IRC's but soon found that they were too much of a hassle to find here in England so I've started buying stamps online from the country I'm sending to's Post Office website, so I'm stocked up on Australian and Canadian stamps - but unfortunately the USPS website doesn't ship to the UK so I just buy Forever Stamps off of eBay :)

Post offices used to sell them, but many of them aren't carrying them anymore.

I usually put in 2-3 depending on how much I'm sending. I've only ever written to England and Ireland, and most of my stuff has come back.

Ohh, thanks! Wonder why my local post office didn't know about them if they sell them on their website?

So, how many do you order at once and how many do you send with your requests? For the US it's easy since I can just figure it would be at least the same as the envelope with a letter and return envelope I'm sending, not sure for another country.

Requests sent to other countries?

by Shiva » Wed Jul 14, 2010 12:56 am

So, I live in the US. There are some actors in other countries I want autographs from, or at times they're in another country. I have gotten 2 photos in the past from other countries, but I've been dang lucky as I can't include irc's so I just have to hope they'll provide postage.

So, does anyone have any advice on how to guarantee I'll get a photo back from another country? I did check with my post office prior to sending my first request to Canada for Shawn Ashmore and they've never heard of irc's so I couldn't get any. I got lucky and got a photo back from him. I also got a photo back from Simmone Mackinnon from Australia. I really don't want to chance not getting one back down the road so I'm wondering if anyone can offer advice on this.

Thanks for any help.
