Generally, after I talk a bit about why I admire who I'm writing to -- roles I've loved, etc. -- I conclude by asking if they could send me a photo, if it's not too much trouble/if it's not asking too much, and say it would be a huge honor. Sometimes, depending on who I'm writing to, I will specify what I'm going to do with it (for example, when I wrote to Ina Garten - a TV chef - I told her I'd love a picture to have smiling down at me while I'm cooking). Then I thank them for their time.

I've seen people on this site send out only LOR's. What should I say in my letter if I want them to send me an autographed picture of their own?

(I want to send to david letterman and ozzy osbourne)

Thanks
