You don't need a stamp on the front, just take it to your post office and ask for it to be sent airmail. :)

...each IRC is turned in for one postage stamp at the country they redeem it in. (they do not get large amounts of postage for them only one stamp)...(the post office makes money on these)...so just like we use 2 or 3 stamps based on size and weight...you would need 2 or 3 or even 4 IRC's depending on size and weight of envelope and Photo....
The post office will stamp the IRC to validate it..then you just place the whole thing in the outgoing envelope.....
You can judge based upon your outgoing cost...
IRC's cost $1.75 each in the US..
the average envelope with photo (8x10) will need at least 2 IRC's for return postage
if using cardboard mailer will need 3 or 4

Hope it helps

Confusing

I live in the US and how much do they cost here? And how much are they worth when you compare them to reg. stamps? $0.37? or somewhere around .80?

Right thanx everyone, it'll be worth the money. 60p doesn't sound much, I'll send about 2 in them. So that's 1.20 plus postage. It's only over £2 to get an autograph from people I highly respect! Sounds Good :D

i have only had one instance where unused IRC were returned to me. Apparently IRC equates to $0.80 us postage. often i recieve photos back with only that amount on but they dont return the 1 or 2 that they dont use. thats only happened once.

60p sounds great, here in Australia it's a whopping $2.50 (about 1.10 pounds). I've had to pay $2.50 for IRCs to actors who only pay 47p or less for their return postage. Luckily though I don't need more than one IRC. Sometimes I don't include them because they're so expensive :-( even though that damages my chances of getting a reply :-(

IRCs in Britain cost 60p each and ull need 2 or 3 per request. Then ur looking at between 68p and £1.45 postage.

if sending 10x8 photos I normally send 3 but sometimes just 2 if sending 7x5. its often best to send a self addressed envelope as well just incase.

How much do IRC's cost? I am gonna write to loads of celebs in the US because all my fave celebs come from there. But I was wondering how much they cost? I am from Scotland and most letters are going to California or places around there. Does anyone know how much it would cost and how many I would need to include with my letters. Much appreciated :D
