Welcome!

Before you spend any money you should put a list together of your most wanted, and then using the search function at the top of the page you can determine the signing habits (or lack thereof) of those on your list. The key to being successful in this hobby is research - research - and more research. Once you have done that you will have a better idea of how to go about mailing out requests, but at a minimum you will need envelopes and stamps. Hopefully your mailbox will be overflowing soon!

Help & tips for a complete newbie to autograph collecting?

Hello!

My name is Jack and I am new to the forums and to autograph collecting. I would like to start expanding my collection which currently stands at 2, Same Difference & Kate Ford (Tracy Barlow from corrie). Both of these I got in person so, I have never done mailing or email or anything else. I have a few questions to ask!

- What will I need to buy to get started?
- How long is an average wait to get a reply?
- What are your tips for writing a letter?
- Anything else I might need to know.

Thanks!
Jackathus
