Hi sex_is_not_the_enemy,
I put Airmail stickers on my envelopes that are going overseas/to far away states if I have them. If I don't, then I send the letters anyway. However, when I run out, I will ask for more the next time I go to the post office, but I don't specifically go to the post office to get them.
To answer your last question: I doubt that the stickers are that influential to the post office...I mean, they
are free...
But I'm not completely sure.
