I have collected autographs for 9 years now (I'm 23) and have loved every second of it. I started as a kid writing off to baseball players TTM. Over the years, I have collected MANY of the celebrities I am really crazy about (who are actually feasible TTM). Since I own most of the autographs of the celebs I enjoy, should that be an ultimatum to automatically quit doing what I love? I hit this barrier a few years ago and found it interesting how I got past it. I starting doing research about NEW celebrities and learning NEW things. I may not be their "biggest fan", but I can respect what they do and write them a letter explaining my thoughts.
In regards to the emails, simply put, it's cheaper. I'm a college student that doesn't have a ton of money to throw around sending TTM's. I don't just randomly pick emails. If I enjoy what a person has done, I will send them a letter, again, explaining my thoughts.
I have never used fanmail.biz. I use a pay site and have since 2001. I love this hobby and would do nothing to tarnish it in any way. I make my videos to PROMOTE TTMs in hope that others will enjoy the hobby that makes me run to the mailbox each day.
In regards to not knowing the celebrities when I open the mail, most videos I shoot are rushed due to me having to be somewhere. I have sent off a ton of request in my lifetime and sometimes, I just can't remember the name off the top of my head.
There ARE people out there that abuse the hobby, but I'm not one of those people. I respect the hobby because of the joy it brings to myself AND all of you.
If my videos offend anyone, I'm sorry. Don't watch them. I put them out there in hope that people will see them and want to join in.
Hope you guys understand!

Your defenses are pathetic. I have seen you look at a politician's autograph, and be like "This is, erm, somebody", and then you will flick it to the side. Not only that, but you get autographs from people you honestly do not know.
You get hundreds of autographs a month, and you are telling me you know each and every one of them? Please.
All we are asking you is to stop spamming the requests, and only send to people you are a fan of.
