I just started to send out Index cards (plain ones). It's useful if i don't have enough stamps to write to a celebrity and send a full size SASE but, I prefer Pictures

I also prefer plain/blank cards. Sometimes lightly coloured, if I cannot get white ones. I usually send 1 pic and 1 card 6x4. The card protects the photo and if the celeb refuses to sign index cards, they can sign the picture.

I love blank paper cards as the signature is much more durable even if signed in ordinary pen or non-permanent marker. Photo surface is not that friendly.

But I don´t make picture cards, and I am not considering doing that into the future. I keep it simple 8)

All mine are plain. I'm quite put off by nonsense all over the card. I've seen only a few that I would consider quality. Others just remind me of a fanboy with an art kit or MS paint.

I'm tempted to start sending index cards along with my requests, like Ryan's (By that I mean, Not plain, something on them to define who's it is). Just need to find the resources.

A couple of other things...

-Some celebs don't like to sign plain white cards. May have to do with being able to scan their autograph for identity theft.

-What I do like about cards or my custom cards is that if you want to do autographs from the cast of a show. You can put them together. While its not as nice as them all signed on a photo. It's better than nothing.

I always send two indexes with my photo, makes it easier to mount a mini-poster and have the signatures surrounding it than send the same poster/photo to multiple people. Something like Star Wars, for example. Poster in the center, and along the sides, matted indexes.

I love index cards because they are plain. I mean, it is the autograph I want and it is nice to have ti on clear background, so picture is not really that important. Just a matter of taste 8)

I do not want to trade my autos, sorry, I might buy! And I would definitely love to see your Gary Oldman if you care to post a pic. :)

Like Ryan. For the past 15yrs I sent out 3x5 index cards. But, hated how bland they look and half the people you couldn't recognize who the signer was. So now I send custom cards either 3x5 or trading card size.

Here are examples of the two sizes I do...

I send out a TON of index cards with my requests!! Although I make mine custom by adding text and small graphics. I've got many examples of signed ones on my site. None are for sale or trade though. sorry. but if you have good artist ability, you can make similar cards too.
