I don't know about Alan Rickman specificaly but I do believe that when it comes to VV requests in general you should always send your own pictures as you never know whether the person will have their own pictures with them. For the best results VV I would recomend you send your own pictures.

Hey guys, I was just wondering, if I sent to Alan Rickman via-venue, do you think he would send me a picture himself, or would I have to send him one myself?
