Many celebs are kind and sign a photo or two.
I've had a number of footballers (the older Aussie footy players) send extra photos or cards or newspaper clippings. A couple of Star Wars actors have sent extra photos. A LotR employee from Weta sent a bunch of promotional LotR stuff. But my best on would have to be when I asked a retired Aussie football player to sign a card for me. He offered me a pair of boots that a retired superstar former team mate had given him on his retirement (on the proviso that I not sell them on eBay "because they had no CoA").
I initially declined telling him they were to valuable to give away. The player insisted that he wanted them to go to someone that would appreciate them. When I went to pick them up, he told me that he noticed the previous owner had signed the toe of each boot (they were match worn and still had some mud from the match on them! - suffice to say I haven't cleaned them!). I gave him a nice bottle of wine for his troubles as he refused any other form of payment.
