How long should I wait after sending a request a certain celebrity, athlete, etc., before I either send another request or just write that person off as a failure?
Any information y'all can give will be most appreciated! Thanks!
It is highly variable. My Aussie footy 'graphs average about a month. Star Wars & Lord of the Rings a few months. Rather than re-sending to to the same address, I might try to find an alternative address when I can. I might try the same address a few to several months later. But celebs, I'm sure, don't like to be hassled.
3+ years is my longest. One thing I learned is to use a return address that will stay constant. ie if you rent and move around a lot, you will miss letters that take 3 years to get to you! Parents addresses can be good, or your own PO Box.
