I've been to a few, and you often are required to buy the item there, but not always. You might want to check the website for the event that you're planning on going to, and giving the store a ring to check if you're not sure.

Be aware - they have a strict no re-return to the queue policy! So once you've met the person and had your item signed, you can't re-join the back of the queue for another one.

Usually you have to buy one there, and it often has to be the CD the artist is promoting. And often 1 CD per person.

Hey, was just wondering if anyone could tell me if when going to an in store signing do you take your own copy of the cd or do you have to buy one there? Thanks
